Your quick start: Guide to the new owner area

To ensure that your move to the new owner area goes smoothly, we have put together a short guide for you. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions as well as important information about the new features.

1) Why is the owner area moving?

The new owner area is more modern, more user-friendly and offers you numerous new functions that make it easier for you to manage your holiday home. It also meets modern security standards and has been used successfully by our hosts outside Switzerland for a long time.

2) Do I have to adapt to new processes?

Some processes have been optimised to make administration easier for you. Our video tutorial and this guide will help you to quickly find your way around. The new owner area, which has been successfully used by hosts outside Switzerland for many years, is intuitive to use and perfectly tailored to the needs of private owners.

3) How will I be informed about the move?

You have already been informed about the upcoming move by email. A few days later, you will receive a second email with detailed information about the new owner area. At the same time, we will send you another message with your new owner number and an automatically generated initial password. This means you are well prepared to use the new area immediately.

4) How do I access the new owner area?

As soon as the new owner area is available, you will receive an e-mail with all the necessary information. Due to technical reasons, this e-mail will be sent from the sender address [email protected].

5) What is the address of the new login page?

You can access the new owner area via the following URL:

owner.atraveo.com/login?lang=

We recommend that you save this page as a favourite. This way, you will always have quick access and will be taken directly to the correct login page.

6) Is my old password still valid?

On the day of the changeover, you will receive an e-mail from [email protected] containing your new owner number and an initial password.

Please change this initial password the first time you log in to the new owner area by going to "My profile" in the menu. You can, of course, reuse your old password if it meets the current security guidelines.

7) What should I do if the login does not work?

If you receive an error message when logging in, please proceed as follows:

Check the login page:

Make sure you are using the correct URL: owner.atraveo.com.

Check your access data:

Your old password is no longer valid in the new owner area. On the day of the changeover, you received an email from [email protected] with your new owner number and an initial password. Please use these access details.

Reset password:

If you still can't log in, reset your password. To do so, click on "Forgot password" and follow the instructions in the email that you will then receive.

8) Will my data be transferred when I move?

Your current data, such as descriptions, prices, occupancy rates and your personal contact details, will be automatically transferred to the new system.

However, we ask you to carefully check the information about your holiday homes, such as prices and additional costs, and to add to it if necessary. In the new owner area, there are numerous improved and expanded input options. Take this opportunity to update your property presentation and familiarise yourself with the new functions.

9) What must I do next?

Once you have received the date of the move and the email with your new access data, you can sit back and relax for the time being. The complete data transfer can take up to 48 hours.

After that, please check the following:

  1. Test login
    Go to owner.atraveo.com and log in with your new owner number and initial password. You will receive both by email from [email protected].
  2. Change password
    After successfully logging in, change the initial password in the "My profile" menu. You can reuse your previous password if it meets our guidelines.
  3. Check data
    Check that the data you have transferred is complete and correct, in particular seasonal periods, prices and equipment features.

10) What if data is missing?

Don't worry, the complete data transfer can take up to 48 hours. If data is still missing after this period, please contact us on +41 (0)44 442 29 99 or by email at [email protected].

11) Should I check prices and seasonal periods?

Yes, definitely. In addition to checking your personal data, you should also check your seasonal periods, prices and ancillary services. Here are some important points:

  • Arrival and departure days as well as minimum rental periods are now recorded separately from the rental prices. Saturday is set as the default arrival/departure day with a minimum rental period of 7 days.
  • It is no longer necessary to enter overlapping seasonal periods – we have already adjusted this.
  • Surcharges: Person-dependent surcharges can still be entered, but without age limits.
  • You will now find short-stay surcharges under additional services.
  • Manual additional costs: These have been adopted as far as possible. If this has not been successful, we ask you to either include the costs in the rental price or add them to the description text.

12) What do I need to be aware of regarding visitor's taxes/tourist taxes?

The options for visitor's tax have been expanded, particularly with regard to age. Please note that e-domizil no longer handles collections. This is because the ages of fellow travellers are not transmitted or are transmitted incompletely via many distribution channels, which means that correct calculations are not possible.

13) I use iCal – what do I need to bear in mind?

If you synchronise your occupancy calendar with other portals via an iCal link, you will need to update the link after the move. The new URL is based on atraveo instead of e-domizil.

  • To do this, go to "Calendar" in the owner area and generate a new iCal link.
  • Update this link on all partner portals.

A positive change: You can now import any number of iCal links from other portals to synchronise your occupancy. You can find more details in our tutorial.

14) Should I check the equipment features?

Yes, please check the following features, as there are new options here:

  • Car park: Enter the number and type of parking spaces.
  • Internet: Select the appropriate option.
  • Heating: Update the relevant information.
  • Sleeping arrangements and bed size: Please check and add to this information if necessary.

15) What about my description text?

Your description text has been adopted unchanged. Additional information that could no longer be displayed in the old system has been added below your free text. You are welcome to customise and add to this information.

If you have a farm with various animals, please mention this in the description from now on.

16) How do I find my way around the new owner area?

The new owner area offers a user-friendly and intuitive interface that also works optimally on smartphones and tablets. The system makes it easy for you to manage your holiday homes, from prices to occupancy.
